Deadline Extended For Applications For Takoma Park Art Hop

TAKOMA PARK, MD — The Art Hop artist application deadline has been extended until Tuesday, Feb. 28. New and emerging local Takoma Park artists and Takoma Park businesses are encouraged to apply for this year's Art Hop arts fest from April 29-30.

The arts fest is a weekend filled with an exciting mix of local art, including painting, photography, mixed media, assemblage, fiber art, glass, pottery, sculpture, jewelry and more. The Old Takoma Business Association pairs each artist with a local business, where they can display their pieces.

Explore the local shops, restaurants and cafes and see the work of over 100 artists on display all weekend inside the businesses. There will also be live performances all weekend in the streets.

The event takes place inside the businesses and mirrors the businesses' hours, but is generally held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
