Smart performers. Quick wits. Absolutely no script.
Ensembles from Washington Improv Theater (WIT) use audience suggestions to inspire comedic performances that they create on the spot. During the WIT Road Show, these four teams will depart from WIT's home base at Source on 14th Street and bring improv comedy to audiences in Takoma Park.
This show is pay-what-you-choose. Donations will be collected at the door.
Nox!:Â WIT Affiliate Troupe Nox! started out performing a bat -- a full improv show staged completely in the dark. Now the group does an Armando, a format where the performers use their own personal experiences to serve as the basis of their playful, high-energy shows.
King Bee: No idea is too surreal for the members of WIT's newest ensemble.
Commonwealth: These veteran comedic trouble-makers are no strangers to rapid-fire comedy, but also have a knack for patient, slow-burning show.
iMusical: The heart and soul of musical theater meets the spontaneity of improv in this completely improvised musical.
