Farms in Your Backyard: Tour Says ‘Buy Local’
Montgomery County farms open their doors to new customers as part of a push to showcase locally grown produce.

Farms from Silver Spring to Damascus are rolling out the red carpet for new customers that may not know hyper-local produce is a short drive away. The 2013 Montgomery County Farm Tour will be held July 27-28, with 13 stops along the way.
Beyond the usual peas and peaches, some farms will also have hayrides, pony rides, music and wine.
