Maryland Easter Weekend Weather Forecast: Hop Outside!

Planning on spending the Easter and Passover weekend outside? It's going to be a beautiful end to the week in Maryland, according to the National Weather Service, so you're in luck. Saturday morning Easter egg hunts should be dry, with a chance later for rain, but sunrise services on Sunday should have clear skies.

If you're traveling, know that showers and thunderstorms are predicted from the central Plains into portions of the Midwest and Great Lakes and, by Sunday, they'll be headed into the Northeast. Plus, heat! Temps up to 30 degrees above average in the Great Lakes region are expected on Saturday, according to the Weather Channel.

Storms moving toward the East Coast will likely weaken after crossing the Appalachians Sunday night and could completely disappear before reaching the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., areas, says Accuweather.

Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 71 — perfect weather for an outdoor Easter egg hunt, so grab your Easter baskets and head outside to search for those lucky golden eggs! There is a slight chance of showers Saturday afternoon, but it looks like most of Maryland is in the clear.

Sunday will be sun-soaked with a high in the low 80s, leading into a warm and pleasant start of next week. Expect highs in the upper 60s and low 70s to close out Passover on Tuesday.
