Maryland Weather Forecast: Frigid Temperatures Loom This Weekend
It's been warm all week, but that'll change come Friday.
TAKOMA PARK, MD — It felt like spring this week with warm temperatures and sunny skies, but that'll change come the weekend. Thursday will have a high of 66 before temperatures plunge to 48 on Friday, 35 on Saturday and 36 on Sunday.
There were previously reports of snow, but as of Wednesday the forecast has changed to rain, if any precipitation happens at all.
Thursday will be mostly sunny and slightly windy, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Showers are likely Friday morning, as well as wind gusts up to 32 mph. The weekend greets us with frigid temperatures Saturday and Sunday, so bundle up.

Thursday Night: A chance of rain, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Friday: Showers likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 48. Breezy, with a northwest wind 6 to 11 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. Blustery, with a northwest wind 16 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
