Maryland Weather Forecast: Let's Play Some Baseball

A fabulous Wednesday is in the offing, according to the local branch of the National Weather Service, with highs flirting around 70 degrees and light winds.

Thursday's a different story, though, with a 90 percent chance of rain.

As of now, however, the weekend looks pretty solid.

Here's the latest NWS forecast:

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. West wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 69. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Low around 51. Southeast wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am, then showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. High near 67. Southeast wind 11 to 14 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Southwest wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Friday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 57.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 63.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
