Maryland Weather: Four Chances for Winter Weather in February

Don't put those snow boots and window scrappers away just yet. There are four chances for snow and ice in February. Here's the forecast.

If it seems like it has been more than a year since we were snowed in by a blizzard, you're correct. But don't give up on winter weather just yet. The extended forecast shows four opportunities for snow or ice this month.

The first chance for the region could arrive Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. There's a 30 percent chance of rain and snow, with temperatures expected to stay in the 30s. Forecasters expect only light rain and snow for our region, with heavier accumulation to our north and west.

We'll briefly warm to the mid-50s next week, before dropping settling in to the 30s and 40s for most of the month, with overnight lows in the 20s, according to AccuWeather.
