Happy Hump Day, Takoma Park! (Woot! woooot!) 

Here’s a look at some of the things you need to know to be in the know in Takoma Park today:

Call the ghost of Joe Medwick. The National Weather Service says there’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms (with the greatest chance today) with temperatures in the 80s throughout the remainder of the workweek. Good news: The weekend is looking much better. 

2. "Let the Magic Begin": You never know what you might find posted on Takoma Park Patch. Today’s gem is a chance to see the “Wizard of Wood” in action on Elm Avenue (appropriately enough). Watch as a twin trunk becomes art beginning at 9 a.m.

4. It Ain’t Easy Bein’ Cheesy: But that’s not stopping Ed Hogan from trying to set a grilled cheese record at this year’s Montgomery County Agricultural Fair, which starts Friday in Gaithersburg.
