The Huffington Post says these national chains are open, but check locally before you get in the car: Applebee’s, Buca di Beppo, Buffalo Wild Wings, Denny’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Golden Corral, IHOP, McDonald’s, Panda Express, Perkins, Pizza Hut, Ruby Tuesday, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Sonic Drive-In, Starbucks Coffee, Subway, Waffle House.

A.G. Kitchen, 931 Ellsworth Drive in Silver Spring: The Latin American cuisine eatery is taking reservations for Friday, Dec. 25. The menu includes turkey breast and ham, sweet potato bisque, mashed potatoes and other sides, along with red velvet cake or holiday cookies.

Amici Miei, 1093 Seven Locks Road, Potomac: The Italian ristorante offers this special menu for Dec. 24 and 25: Seafood fried risotto balls filled with burrata cheese; homemade ravioli filled with braised beef short ribs, red wine and dried porcini mushroom sauce; stuffed roasted veal breast; grilled branzino, saffron potato cream and Sicilian caponata.
