A bronze statue of Roscoe the rooster, which lived in Takoma Park for 10 years from 1989 to 1999, stands in the hot summer sun at Ward Sinclair plaza in downtown Takoma Park.
According to a plaque on the base of the statue, Roscoe (who also went by Chick Chick) was a "free spirited rooster" cared for by Alan Daughharthy and Alma Keating "and brought joy into our urban lives."
