Takoma Park Mayor Hosts Community Coffee May 19

Takoma Park residents can share their views with Mayor Kate Stewart at a community coffee May 19.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart and Council member Tim Male invite residents to attend “community coffee” on Friday, May 19, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Los Pollos Restaurant, 6842 New Hampshire Ave, Takoma Park.

Each month, according to Takoma Park spokesman Jeremy Dickey, Stewart along with Takoma Park council members, hosts this opportunity for residents to voice any issues or concerns. Participants can expect an update from Mayor Stewart and Councilmember Male on Takoma Park projects and an open dialogue featuring the community will follow.

“One of the thing this council is promoting is a responsive and community government,” Dickey told Montgomery Community Media. “Since everyone can’t go to the council meetings on Wednesday, this is a great alternative to meet and talk with your local government.”
