Takoma Park Youth To Participate In Summer Employment Program
Is your child looking for a summer job in the Takoma Park area? Head to the Summer Employment Program Interest Workshop Friday, April 21.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Are your kids looking for a summer job in the Takoma Park area? If so, you're in luck. The City of Takoma Park has partnered with several local businesses and nonprofit organizations to provide job opportunities to Takoma Park youth through the Summer Employment Program.
Selected candidates must attend a Boot Camp in June to go over financial responsibility, time management, teamwork, diversity, harassment, and communication and work etiquette workshops. They'll then work a maximum of 20 hours per week from June 26 to August 19. Participants will be placed in a variety of job duties during the program, from stocking shelves to office work. Transportation to and from the job is the responsibility of the employee.
This year's employers include: Big Bad Wolf, Capital City Cheesecake, City of Takoma Park Public Works, Lets Play America, Montgomery County Recreation Department, Richardson School of Music, Roscoe's Neapolitan Pizza, Washington Adventist Hospital and the Takoma Park/Silver Spring CO-OP.
