But for your neighbors who do, Takoma Park police recently released a list of locations of speed cameras in town.There are five fixed-pole speed cameras and three portable speed camera units. They are located in the:<ul><li>400 block of Ethan Allen Avenue, eastbound.</li><li>500 block of Ethan Allen Avenue, westbound.</li><li>7100 block of New Hampshire Avenue, northbound.</li><li>7200 block of New Hampshire Avenue, southbound.</li><li>900 block of University Boulevard, eastbound.</li><li>900 block of East West Highway, westbound.</li><li>7400 block of Carroll Avenue, northbound.</li><li>7400 block of Carroll Avenue, southbound.</li></ul>Also, two stretches of road in Takoma Park have been approved as Safe Speed Corridors, a new approach from Montgomery County police that authorizes officers to ticket speeders on any stretch of road, rather than just as they're crossing a fixed spot.
