Woman Fights Back, Flees Attacker On Takoma Park Street: Police
The Takoma Park police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a 46-year-old woman Saturday in broad daylight on a local street.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — The Takoma Park police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman Saturday afternoon on a street corner. He fled the scene before officers arrived, the town's police department said Sunday.
At about 3:40 p.m. Saturday, the officers responded to a call about a sexual assault in the 7700 block of Carroll Avenue, the police said. A 46-year-old woman was handing out brochures at Carroll Avenue and Flower Avenue when an unidentified man approached and assaulted her.
"The subject grabbed the victim and made physical sexual advances towards her," the police said in a statement.

The victim fought against the assailant and was able to break free and flee, the police said. The assailant fled south on Carroll Avenue towards Long Branch Parkway.
The assailant is described as a black male, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing tennis shes, a red shirt and white earbuds, the police said.
