The councilman's hearing comes 55 days after his arrest in Towson. Police say Huff's blood alcohol level was .20—nearly three times the legal limit—when he was pulled over in the parking lot of his family business along York Road. He was driving a county-owned Jeep Grand Cherokee at the time of the early morning arrest.

During the arrest, Huff asked to be taken home and threatened to call county police Chief Jim Johnson. The councilman left one voicemail for the police chief. Huff admitted during that brief call that he had been drinking before he was pulled over.
