CRIME LOG: 2 Mays Chapel Condos Robbed, Ridgely Middle Vandalized & More

Two Mays Chapel area condos were robbed last week. In one instance, the burglar actually climbed to the second floor balcony to pry his or her way inside. 

Guns, among a host of high-priced valuables were stolen at each location. 

Elsewhere in Timonium, a vandal left an unpleasant etching in front of a middle school and protesters took a stand against abortion at a local high school. 

Just to clarify, Patch is aware that protesting—especially peaceful protesting—is not a crime. Patch lists public demonstrations in the crime log because police note them in their incident reports. Also, explaining what happened in this forum may answer the questions of passersby who saw police and protesters together outside of a high school.

Crime Log

Elphin Court, unit block, between 2 p.m., Feb. 15 and 5:30 a.m., Feb. 17. A burglar broke into an apartment and stole three television sets, a shotgun, a rifle, three Apple iPad tablets, and three black leather jackets.  The intruder pried open the rear sliding glass door to get inside.

East Ridgely Road, 100 block, between 5 p.m., Feb. 15 and 2:15 p.m., Feb. 16. A vandal used a loose brick to carve a swastika in the concrete bus loop in front of Ridgely Middle School.

Glenamoy Road, unit block, between 4:45 and 8 p.m., Feb. 15.  A burglar climbed to the second-floor balcony of a condominium building to break into one of the units. The thief pried open the front glass sliding door and stole a 42-inch television set, laptop, Samsung cell phone, and jewelry. The burglar left through the front door.

East Padonia Road, 200 block, between 7:20 and 8 a.m., Feb. 13. Three members of the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform conducted a peaceful anti-abortion demonstration on the sidewalk in front of Dulaney High School. The protest lasted about 40 minutes.

Deep Dale Drive, 200 block, 9 a.m., Feb. 12. A homeowner discovered her downstairs bathroom window open and dirty shoe tracks on the bathroom toilet and floor. Thinking the tracks belonged to her husband, the woman delayed calling the police until her husband came home. The husband called police who conducted a search of the home. Nothing was reported missing. No further information is known at this time.
