Closure On Falls Road Extended For Tree Removal

The closure and detours on Falls Road are expected to be in place longer than previously projected.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The 1.7-mile section of Falls Road that was closed for the removal of a fallen tree will last a bit longer than officials previously thought. At first, officials anticipated the closure would run through Friday, Jan. 25. On Friday morning, they said it would take a bit more time.

The closure will be in effect through Saturday, Jan. 26, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

What prompted the closure was a tree that fell on Falls Road between Seminary Avenue and Padonia Road Thursday night, according to the State Highway Administration.
