Josh Gerber Named CMO of PF Growth Partners, LLC
Veteran marketing executive has played key a role in the growth of both Brick Bodies and Planet Fitness

TIMONIUM, Md. (Feb. 3, 2020) - PF Growth Partners, LLC (PFGP), an award-winning franchise division of Planet Fitness, has promoted Josh Gerber to Chief Marketing Officer.
He now oversees the planning, development and execution of marketing and advertising for PFGP, which operates 66 locations in Maryland, Washington, DC, Tennessee, Florida, Washington state and coming soon, California.
His primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through marketing campaigns, market research, pricing, marketing communications, traditional and digital advertising and public relations.

Gerber has been employed by owners, Lynne and Victor Brick since 2002, starting at Brick Bodies and later transitioning with them to PFGP.
“Josh started with us as an intern and has worked his way up at both of our companies,” said Victor Brick, co-owner of PF Growth Partners. “It’s exciting to see him advance and lead our marketing efforts as we have grown our clubs regionally nationally and now internationally.”

At Brick Bodies, Gerber rose to vice president of marketing. In addition to creating and implementing digital and social media strategies, he played a critical part in helping re-shape the Brick Bodies brand identity that helped increase sales yearly by an average of 20 percent.
In addition to maintaining his position at Brick Bodies, Gerber became PFGP’s vice president of marketing in 2016. Two years later, he moved to PFGP full-time and has created marketing plans and strategies for more than 20 grand openings and pre-sales.
He also has negotiated large brand building sponsorship deals with the Baltimore Orioles, University of Maryland Terrapins, Nashville Predators and Washington Huskies, and led co-op groups in the Baltimore, Washington, DC, Salisbury, Seattle and Nashville markets for 100+ clubs between 10 Planet Fitness franchisee ownership groups.
“Brick Bodies and Planet Fitness have been a huge stepping stone in my professional development, I am extremely fortunate to have been able to work for the same employers throughout my career,” Gerber said. “I am excited about the growth potential and this new opportunity with Planet Fitness as we continue to open clubs in the United States and abroad.”
Gerber earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from UMBC, where he played D1 lacrosse. A former youth lacrosse coach for Kelly Post and the Green Turtle Lacrosse Club,Gerber currently is a high school and youth lacrosse official for the Southern Lacrosse Officials Association. He resides in Timonium, Md., with his daughter, Anna.
