Baltimore County 311 Is Restored, Officials Say

A Verizon outage impacted Baltimore County Tuesday for several hours, according to authorities.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Verizon outage took the 311 number offline in Baltimore County Tuesday morning for several hours, according to officials.

Baltimore County government asked people not to call 911 for issues that were not emergencies when the 311 first went offline before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials cited a "regional Verizon outage" as the problem.

At noon, authorities said the issue was resolved, and 311 service had been restored.
