Arc Baltimore Golf Tournament Benefits People with DD
Event contributes $100,000 annually to benefit programs and services for adults and children with developmental disabilities.
The Arc Baltimore will hold its 27th Annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday, June 22, at The Hillendale Country Club, 13700 Blenheim Road N in Phoenix, MD. Tee times will start every 10 minutes at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
“The Annual Golf Tournament is one of The Arc Baltimore’s biggest fund-raisers, contributing nearly $100,000 each year to benefit the programs and services we provide to adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families,” says Kathleen McNally Durkin, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.
“This incredible level of support is always important, but is particularly needed in the wake of COVID-19 and the added burden it has placed on our limited resources,” Durkin continues. “The generosity of our golfers and corporate sponsors, including our title sponsor, Scientific Plant Services, makes a huge difference in our efforts to support people with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaningful relationships.”

In light of the pandemic, numerous precautions are being taken to ensure that all golfers participating in the Annual Golf Tournament have a safe experience.
- Plastic dividers will be installed in all golf carts.
- Instead of the usual breakfast and luncheon programs, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch, along with refreshments, will be available in the clubhouse and on the golf course.
While there will be some differences from past years, this year’s Golf Tournament will still feature 18 holes of golf, including several special contest holes and a number of opportunities to win individual prizes, team prizes, and door prizes.
