Baltimore County Gives Over 72K First Doses Of COVID-19 Vaccine
Nearly 9 percent of Baltimore County's population has received the COVID-19 vaccination, county officials say.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — More than 72,000 people have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Baltimore County, officials reported Tuesday, Feb. 2.
"More Baltimore County residents have received the vaccine than in any other jurisdiction," County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
More 16,000 people have gotten their second dose of the vaccine in Baltimore County, as both the Moderna and the Pfizer vaccine require a booster shot several weeks after the first dose.

Baltimore County residents who want to be vaccinated may get on the registry. This does not create an appointment but puts people's names on a list to be contacted when the vaccine is available and they are eligible.
Montgomery County has vaccinated the second most people in the state, with more than 69,000 doses administered, according to the Maryland Department of Health.

Maryland is in Phase 1c of its COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan, meaning the following are eligible:

However, Baltimore County is still working to vaccinate those in 1A and 1B.
