Baltimore County Under Wind Advisory
A wind advisory calls for gusts up to 50 mph Monday in Baltimore County and other parts of Maryland.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County is under a wind advisory Monday calling for powerful wind gusts. Trees may fall and power could be knocked out as a result, according to the National Weather Service, which issued the advisory.
Forecasters say gusts up to 50 mph are possible along with 15 to 25 mph northwest winds.
The advisory was originally slated to begin at 4 p.m., but the National Weather Service moved the start time Monday morning to 2 p.m.

The wind advisory lasts from 2 p.m. to midnight for Allegany, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Montgomery and Washington counties as well as Baltimore City.
Gusts could blow down tree limbs and toss unsecured objects, according to the National Weather Service. People should tie down any loose objects outside, officials advise.

Since the ground is saturated, it will be easier for trees to topple over, according to the advisory.
Drivers should be extra careful, keeping both hands on the wheel, especially if they are in high-profile vehicles.
