Winter Weather Advisory Extended For Baltimore County
Due to potentially slippery and hazardous conditions, the National Weather Service has extended the winter weather advisory period.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Baltimore County is under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. Tuesday, after the National Weather Service extended the advisory period that was to end at 10 a.m.
Snowfall in the Baltimore metro area has ranged from 0.2 to 1.4 inch, according to preliminary data released Tuesday morning.
Freezing rain and additional ice accumulations of up to 0.1 inch Tuesday could lead to slippery conditions.

"Hazards may linger into this afternoon as temperatures will only rise slowly this morning," the National Weather Service advised.
Drivers should slow down and be extra careful. Pedestrians are encouraged to be mindful of their first few steps outside due to the potential for icy and slippery conditions on steps, sidewalks and driveways.

Power outages are also possible for the areas under the winter weather advisory, which applies to the following:
- Baltimore City
- Baltimore County
- Carroll County
- Cecil County
- Frederick County
- Harford County
- Howard County
- Montgomery County

PREVIOUS REPORT (EXPIRED): Snow is expected to begin in Baltimore County from 5 to 7 p.m., with 1 to 3 inches accumulating.
The winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday for the following areas:
- Baltimore City
- Baltimore County
- Carroll County
- Cecil County
- Frederick County
- Harford County
- Howard County
- Montgomery County
- Washington County

There is another chance for snow this week, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a hazardous weather outlook due to what forecasters described as a "slight winter storm threat" Wednesday night and Thursday. If this storm materializes, officials said it could cause disruptions to travel.
Gale-force winds are also possible Thursday into Friday morning, forecasters advised.
