TOWSON, MD — A chain specializing in Korean fried chicken is now open in Towson.

In addition, the first 100 guests to the location at 813 Goucher Boulevard on Friday will receive free Bonchon shirts.

Bonchon, which is Korean for "my hometown," was founded in South Korea in 2002 and branched into the United States in 2006. More than 100 restaurants are now open across the country, in more than 20 states.

"Bonchon Towson doubles as one of our corporate test kitchens — so guests of this location will have the unique opportunity to try new menu items not found at other area Bonchon restaurants,” Dekker said.

Menu items include chicken, Korean street corn, a fried chicken sandwich (with spicy, soy garlic or the new sweet red chili sauce), mac & Kimcheese and other dishes.

Bochon Towson is at 813 Goucher Boulevard. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. All orders placed through bonchon.com will have free delivery through April 30. Curbside pickup and dine-in options are available.
