County Replacing Towson Water Line
The line runs through York Road, between the Interstate 695 beltway and Washington Avenue.

Baltimore County will soon replace a York Road water line that officials call "old and troublesome."
The 10-inch line is located on York Road between the Interstate 695 and Washington Avenue, according to the Baltimore County website. The installation of 2,700 feet of new water is slated to begin next week, and the line will be replaced with new 20 and 24-inch diameter pipes.
Construction will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, according to an email from a county department of public works spokesman. Lanes on York Road will intermittently shut down, though the road will not close.
