Free Summer Meal Program Available At Loch Raven Branch

The summer meals program will be offered at nine libraries in Baltimore County, including the Loch Raven branch on Taylor Avenue.

TOWSON, MD — Loch Raven will be one of nine library branches that will provide food to children ages 18 and younger free of charge this summer. It is participating in the Summer Food Service program, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered in partnership with Baltimore County Public Schools.

"Lunch in the Library" will be offered Monday through Friday at nine branches, including the Loch Raven Branch at 1046 Taylor Avenue in Towson.

Meals are free, with no applications or registration necessary.

Lunch will be served at these locations Thursday, June 20, to Friday, Aug. 23:

  • Loch Raven branch — 1 p.m.
  • Arbutus branch — noon
  • Essex branch — noon
  • Lansdowne branch — 12:30 p.m.
  • North Point branch — 12:30 p.m.
  • Randallstown branch — Noon
  • Rosedale branch — 12:30 p.m.
  • White Marsh branch — Noon
  • Woodlawn branch — 12:30 p.m.

Lunch will not be served Thursday, July 4, according to Baltimore County Public Library.

Breakfast and lunch will be served at some schools this summer, according to Baltimore County Public Schools, which reports it will release the locations and times shortly. That program will be offered Monday, July 8, to Friday, Aug. 2.
