Greater Towson Committee Hires New Executive Director

The nonprofit organization focuses on promoting development and revitalization efforts in Towson.

Katie Pinheiro was recently hired at the executive director for the Greater Towson Commitee.

In her new role, Pinheiro will represent the interests of the nonprofit, which promotes development and revitalization in Towson, to local businesses, government leaders and the community, according to a news release.

"Katie is a tremendous addition to the Greater Towson Committee. Her professional background, local roots and knowledge, and dedication to the improvement of Towson will contribute to the success of GTC’s efforts," said Jim Railey, president of the group, in the statement. "We welcome her enthusiasm and drive to the team."

Before joining the nonprofit, Pinheiro, a Towson native, worked as a mortage professional for United Equity.

The Greater Towson Commitee is a largely volunteer-run organization consisting of local business professionals.
