High Water Closed Lanes On I-695: State Highway Administration
All lanes have reopened on Interstate 695 near Greenspring Avenue, officials say.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — High water closed multiple lanes on the outer loop of Interstate 695 Monday morning during the morning rush hour, according to state transportation officials. The area near the Greenspring Avenue exit was affected, officials said.
Authorities reported before 8:30 a.m. that high water closed two right lanes on I-695 near Greenspring Avenue on the outer loop.
By 9:30 a.m., officials said the lanes had reopened.

The water on the northwest side of I-695 came as the National Weather Service placed central Maryland under a hazardous weather outlook due to showers and thunderstorms.
"There are multiple reports of high water," the State Highway Administration reported around 8:50 a.m. "Please be sure to watch out for tree debris in the roadway as well."
