I-695 Crash Blocked Lanes Near Charles Street

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A crash on Interstate 695 snarled traffic near the exit for MD 139/Charles Street during the Thursday morning rush.

The crash was reported around 6:30 a.m. on the outer loop of the beltway before the exit for Charles Street, officials said.

All lanes were closed except the left lane during the response.

By 7:15 a.m., officials said the crash had cleared.

"Icy conditions are still possible, especially on untreated surfaces," the Maryland Transportation Authority advised after 6 a.m. "Stay alert and allow extra time for your commute IF you must travel this morning. Delay travel if you can. Be safe!"
