After Crash Shut Down I-83 South, All Clear Given

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A crash on Interstate 83 has snarled traffic during the Monday evening rush hour in Baltimore County. The incident had cleared within about an hour.

Officials said two vehicles crashed on I-83 south past the exit for I-695 before 4:45 p.m.

All lanes of I-83 south and the left lane and left shoulder on I-83 north were closed in the area, state transportation authorities reported after 5 p.m.

By 5:50 p.m., the crash had cleared from the travel lanes of the road. All lanes had reopened, while the left shoulders on both I-83 north and south were closed.
