Loch Raven Aims For State Soccer Title: Fall MPSSAA Playoffs
The Loch Raven Raiders will compete for the state crown this weekend.

TOWSON, MD — As the fall sports season wraps up, several teams from the Towson area made it to the playoffs. Here is a look at the teams battling for state titles this season.
Soccer
Loch Raven boys soccer will play for the class 1A state title this week. The team the Raiders will have to beat is the Patterson Mill Huskies.
The game will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Loyola University, Ridley Athletic Complex, 2221 West Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore, MD 21209. Tickets are $8.

In the state semifinals, the Huskies shut out Mountain Ridge, 5-0, on Saturday, Nov. 10, and the Raiders defeated International High School, 3-1, on Friday, Nov. 9.
The Towson girls soccer team claimed the class 3A north title but the team was defeated by Northern in the class 3A semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Northern, which beat Towson, will play for the state girls soccer title against Thomas Johnson on Saturday, Nov. 17.
Field Hockey
Dulaney was defeated by South River, 2-0, at the class 4A field hockey championship over the weekend. The game took place at Washington College at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10.
Volleyball
Towson was defeated by Bel Air, 3-0, for the class 3A north regional volleyball title on Friday, Nov. 9.
Dulaney lost to Urbana, 3-2, in the class 4A north regional tournament on Friday, Nov. 9.
Cross-Country
Towson boys cross-country placed 3rd in state in the class 3A cross-country championship on Saturday, Nov. 10. First place was Centennial, and the runner-up was Linganore.
Dulaney boys cross country placed 3rd in the class 4A cross-country championship on Saturday, Nov. 10, behind Severna Park and Northwood high schools.
Towson girls cross-country placed 5th in state at the MPSSAA state class 3A cross-country championships on Saturday, Nov. 10. Dulaney was 5th in the girls 4A cross-country championships as well.
