Flash Flood Watch Issued For 11 Counties And Baltimore City
BREAKING: The National Weather Service has issued a watch due to the potential for flash flooding in already soggy Maryland.

MARYLAND — Several parts of Maryland are under a flash flood watch Sunday as more rain approaches. The precipitation comes on the heels of Saturday's downpours that led to flooding and multiple water rescues.
A flash flood watch means that there is the potential for flash flooding, which can be life-threatening. Heavy rain in a short time can lead to flash flooding, or a rapid rise in water level.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely Sunday afternoon, with the potential for rounds of rain, according to the National Weather Service. Due to the already saturated ground and elevated stream levels after Saturday's rainfall, weather officials said that flash flooding is possible.
