Movie Night for Child Welfare Advocates and Professionals
Presented by Maryland CASA Association in partnership with Sheppard Pratt Health Systems

Maryland CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Association is partnering with Sheppard Pratt Health Systems to host a screening of the film “All Rise: For the Good of the Children,” followed by a panel discussion, on Thursday, November 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the Sheppard Pratt Conference Center in Towson. This 75-minute film is the Official Selection of the 2019 USA Film Festival and follows the court proceedings of an unorthodox Texas judge who pioneered the use of Trauma-Informed Interventions and Trust-Based Relational Interventions in her courtroom. The film offers perspectives from the judge, attorneys, social workers and parents. The panel discussion will feature a Family Treatment Court representative from Harford County, the Director of Social Work at Sheppard Pratt Health Systems, and a CASA director.
This is a FREE event but registration is required and offers 2 CEUs for licensed social workers.
