BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Monday is Presidents Day. Celebrated on the third Monday in February, the holiday recognizes President George Washington's birthday. He was born on Feb. 22, 1732.

Some consider Presidents Day a time to celebrate the birthdays of both Washington on Feb. 22 and President Abraham Lincoln, who was born Feb. 12, 1809.

In any event, the federal holiday means some places will be closed.

Closed For Presidents Day

Baltimore County government offices and courts will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18.

Health Department clinics, libraries and senior centers will be closed.

CountyRide vans will not operate.

Most banks and the stock market will be closed.

Mail will not be sent or delivered, according to the U.S. Postal Service.

Open/Regular Service For Presidents Day

Parking meters must be fed. Baltimore County Revenue Authority parking garages will be open as usual.

Trash and recycling will be collected as usual. Drop-off centers will be open. See more information about drop-off locations and hours.
