​Richard Stoddert 'Todd' Ewell, 51

Richard Stoddert “Todd” Ewell died peacefully after a long battle with AML on Jan. 19, 2017. He was 51.

Todd is survived by his wife Debbie Ewell, children Reese and Sadie Ewell, stepchildren Joanna, Joseph and Michael, his mother and stepfather Nancy and Fred Cole, siblings David S Ewell Jr and his wife Jacki, Anne E Hofmann and her husband Mark, Vance and Susan Cole, a niece, Nela Ewell and a nephew Henry Hofmann, and special friend and faithful companion, K-9 Major of Baltimore. He is preceded in death by his father, David S. Ewell Sr. of Baltimore.

Todd was president of Brightside Landscapes for over 20 years and his passion was designing and installing beautiful gardens. He was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother and friend to many and will be missed by everyone.

There will be a celebration of his life at the L'Hirondelle Club, at 7611 L'Hirondelle Club Road, Ruxton MD 21204 on Saturday the 21st of January from 4 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers gifts in memory of Todd may be directed to support the Leukemia Center at the University of Maryland Medical System foundation at 110 South Paca Street, 9th floor Baltimore, MD 21201.
