Rotaract Club of Towson Forms at Goucher College
The group, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Towson, is recruiting young adults interested in community service.

The Rotaract Club of Towson, a community and international service organization, recently formed at Goucher College and is in the process of recruiting volunteers.
The group is hosting a kick-off event with free food at the Batza Room in the school's Athenaeum library on April 3 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., said Sara Kern, the group's founder and president.
"The  Rotaract Club of Towson...provides opportunities...to address the physical and social needs of the community, build and promote relationships between people worldwide, make an impact on individuals or groups of people and enhance service skills that will be helpful in the future," Kern wrote in an email.

The kick-off event will center on providing an overview of the group, soliciting service ideas and distributing applications.
"We're a new group so we really want to hear what ideas people have about improving the community," Kern said.
