THB Bagels Celebrates Maryland Day

A bagel inspired by the Maryland flag was available on March 25.

TOWSON, MD — THB Bagels & Deli sold its popular Maryland bagels on Monday, March 25. The flag-themed bagel was offered alongside blueberry, everything, sesame and other selections at the stores in Towson, Canton, Timonium and Charles Village.

The business debuted its bagels that were red, white, black and gold — the colors of the Maryland flag — two years ago on March 25, when Maryland Day is celebrated each year.

To achieve the desired effect, bakers used food coloring.

The bagels would only come out on special occasions, THB President Tony Scotto told Patch after the inaugural run, because they take more preparation.

After the Maryland flag-themed bagels sold out in 2017, the business offered its Maryland bagels again on Flag Day that year.
