BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A large tree came down near Cromwell Valley Park Sunday. Crews were working to clear it from the road Sunday afternoon, an official said.

It was blocking access to Cromwell Bridge Road near Satyr Hill Road, Councilman David Marks reported before 2 p.m. He said the tree came down during Sunday's storms.

BGE, Baltimore County and Verizon were helping to remove the tree, Marks said.

A man who said he was in Cromwell Valley Park at the time attributed the tree's 11:30 a.m. downfall to the saturated ground.

The wet weather may not be over, according to the National Weather Service. It issued a hazardous weather outlook Sunday for the Baltimore-Washington region, including Baltimore County, calling for isolated severe storms with damaging wind gusts, large hail and possibly a tornado. Storms may hit Towson after 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service forecast.
