Towson Crime: Robberies Continue to Plague Area

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Armed Robbery: 1500 block of East Joppa Road, 8:30 p.m., Nov. 11. Two knife-wielding robbers walked into the Dollar Tree, assaulted a customer and stole money from the cash register.

Attempted First Degree Burglary: 900 block of Southerly Road, 12:15 p.m., Nov. 9. A burglary in progress was called into police, but when they arrived they found a door to a vacant apartment was damaged. The burglar was unable to get in.   

Armed Robbery: Ashlar Hill Court and Deanwood Road, 9:15 p.m., Nov. 7. Four robbers, one of them armed with a knife, stole a woman’s purse and ran away.

First Degree Burglary: unit block of Treeway Court, between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Nov. 7. A burglar broke into an apartment and stole various electronics.

Robbery: Fairmount Avenue and Towson Drive, 6:01 a.m., Nov. 7. Two robbers walked up to a woman and demanded her property. The woman dropped her purse and ran away.

Armed Robbery: 800 block of Taylor Avenue, 8:40 p.m., Nov. 5. Two robbers, one armed with a knife, walked into the Dollar Tree, took money from the cash register and ran away.

Armed Robbery: 200 block of East Burke Avenue, 9:48 p.m., Nov. 4. Three men walked up to a man, threatened to stab him if he resisted and then took off running with his money.

First Degree Burglary: 8200 block of Bellona Avenue, between 6:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., Nov. 4. A burglar forced open the front door and stole jewelry and personal papers.
