Towson Lacrosse Sweeps Syracuse, Advances To NCAA Semifinals
The Towson University Tigers are headed to the NCAA Division I lacrosse semifinals this weekend.

NEWARK, DELAWARE — Towson will play in the NCAA lacrosse semifinals this weekend after beating Syracuse on Sunday in the Division I quarterfinals at the University of Delaware.
The 11th-seeded Tigers won 10-7, and six of their goals came in the opening quarter, according to Syracuse newspaper the Post-Standard, which reported the Orange "lost its cool early" then rallied to put four points on the board in the final quarter.
Syracuse had been the No. 2 seed going into the game, and the victory marked the first time Towson has beaten the Orange since 1973, according to Towson Athletics.

Next, the Tigers will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the semifinals at noon on Saturday, May 27, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. It's reportedly the first trip to the semifinals for Towson since 2001. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
