Towson Shake Shack Plans Grand Opening

TOWSON, MD —Shake Shack will be opening its newest location this weekend in Towson. The restaurant will be within the Circle East development near the Joppa traffic circle.

In addition to shakes and burgers, the restaurant offers chicken, hot dogs, floats, beer and wine and dog biscuits. Limited-time "Brownie Batter Hot Cocoa Shakes" and "Black Sugar Vanilla Shakes" will also be on the menu.

A walk-up window will be available, and so will digital ordering for those looking to get carryout or delivery service. Curbside and in-shack pickup shelves will be offered too.

Restaurants in Maryland are currently operating at 50 percent capacity due to the coronavirus, and employees at Shake Shack will undergo health checks before each shift and wear face masks and gloves at all times to ensure public health. While indoor capacity is limited, an outdoor patio is slated to open later this year.

Shake Shack will hold its grand opening at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The company will donate $1 for every sandwich sold during its opening day to Student Support Network, a Baltimore County-based nonprofit that provides food and advocacy for students living in poverty.

Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily at Shake Shack, 1 East Joppa Rd., Ste. 100, Towson, MD 21286.

This will be the sixth Shake Shack in Maryland It also operates restaurants at Baltimore's Inner Harbor, M&T Bank Stadium, The Mall in Columbia, in Potomac and Oxon Hill's MGM National Harbor.
