Towson Store Sells $15K Lottery Game Card

A player at a Taylor Avenue gas station won more than $15,000, according to the Maryland Lottery.

TOWSON, MD — A Towson gas station recently helped a customer win more than $15,000, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The winner purchased a Racetrax game card at the Citgo at 900 Taylor Avenue, officials said.

Racetrax is a computer-animated horse racing game that is simulated every five minutes. Each race has 12 horses, and players can select in which order they finished, with the prize increasing with each one that is correct.

Citgo sold the ticket May 18, and the winner had claimed the $15,016.60 prize by May 24, authorities reported.

It was not the only business in the area that saw a big win this week.

The Valley Exxon at 2343 West Joppa Road sold a $100,000 Extreme Cash ticket that was also claimed during the week that ended May 24.
