Truck Fire On I-695 Snarled Traffic

There was congestion on part of I-695 near the Towson-Parkville area Tuesday morning after a truck fire.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A truck fire led to heavy congestion on the Baltimore beltway Tuesday morning, according to officials. The Maryland State Highway Administration reported two right lanes were closed initially on the outer loop at Perring Parkway before 8 a.m.

By 8:10 a.m., the incident had been contained to the right shoulder.

However, congestion remained in the area through the morning rush.
