Tuesday Morning Store To Close In Towson
A retailer selling merchandise for the home in Towson is closing, and store-closing sales are underway.

TOWSON, MD — The home goods retailer Tuesday Morning has filed for bankruptcy and announced the closure of 132 stores nationally, including one in Baltimore County. The Towson store is on the list of those that will shutter.
The more than 11,000-square-foot store in Goucher Commons is undergoing store closing sales.
It is one of three Tuesday Morning stores in Maryland that will close; Glen Burnie and Salisbury are the others.

"These stores were identified as underperforming or are situated in areas where too many locations are in close proximity," CEO Steve Becker said in a statement.
A nearby store that will remain open is the Tuesday Morning at 9968 York Road in Cockeysville.

"Prior to the pandemic, we were gaining momentum in our merchant organization, growing our vendor base and improving brands, assortment and value for our customers, while investing in our technology and corporate leadership team," Becker said. "However, the complete halt of store operations for two months put the company in a financial position that can be effectively addressed only through a reorganization in Chapter 11."
All stores temporarily closed in March due to the coronavirus. They have been slowly reopening in recent weeks.
A second round of closures is planned, which Becker said will shutter another 100 stores.
Tuesday Morning is at 803 Goucher Boulevard in Towson.
