Vigil At Towson University Planned For Hit-And-Run Crash Victim
Towson University is holding a vigil on Tuesday, Dec. 11, for a student killed over the weekend on North Charles Street.

TOWSON, MD — Police continue looking for information in the fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a Towson student over the weekend. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a Toyota with damage to the driver's side mirror, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Mzimazisi Ncube, 20, of the 300 block of Burke Avenue, died as a result of the crash, police said.
Ncube had been trying to cross North Charles Street south of Ruxton Ridge Road when he was hit by a Toyota Sequoia or Toyota Tundra that continued north on North Charles Street around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, officials said. A Mercedes also hit him, and that driver remained and called 911, police said.

Ncube was the youngest of five children and had been studying accounting at Towson University, WJZ reported.

"The Towson University community grieves with the family and loved ones of Mzimazisi Ncube and we mourn this tragic loss of young life," Towson University said in a statement on Monday, Dec. 10. "We urge the surrounding community to assist Baltimore County Police in their investigation of this horrific accident."

There will be a vigil to honor Ncube at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Freedom Square at Towson University.
