Vintage Towson: Little Tavern
Check out this historical photograph of Towson, courtesy of the Baltimore County Public Library.

The Little Tavern was a Kentucky-based chain known for its burgers that opened the doors of its first Baltimore restaurant in 1930; shown here is the Towson location of the restaurant, photographed in 1979.
Located at 516 York Road, the chain invited customers to "buy 'em by the bag."
By the mid 1990s, the shop had been long closed as the site had been incorporated into Recher's, according to an entry in the Baltimore County Public Library catalog.
