'Welcome To Towson' Mural In Progress
The Towson Creative Partnership is coordinating the painting project on York Road. When complete, it will say "Welcome to Towson."
TOWSON, MD — A new mural is underway in downtown Towson. It's on the side of the Wells Fargo building on York Road at Pennsylvania Avenue.
Towson Creative Partnership, a group within the Towson Chamber of Commerce, is coordinating the work. The partnership formed to identify opportunities for public art that could connect the communities within Towson and strengthen the local economy.
Several businesses are helping with the mural that began this week, which is entitled the "Welcome to Towson Mural."

The mural has its own Facebook page.
"It's a beautiful Summer's day in Towson,"the Towson Creative Partnership posted on Facebook Wednesday, July 17, the second day of mural work. "Stop by and see the progress first hand and while you're here, have a light meal at one of the many surrounding restaurants and cafes...only steps away."

Plaza Artist Materials & Picture Framing on York Road donated art supplies for the work, and donations also came from Triple Crown, according to the Towson Creative Partnership.
