What's Open, Closed In Baltimore County On Memorial Day 2021

Here's a look at what's open and closed in Baltimore County this Memorial Day.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Memorial Day in Baltimore County will be marked with a ceremony and for many, a day off, since it is a federal holiday.

The 2021 Memorial Day ceremony at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens will be livestreamed, Monday at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live. In person, a limited number of attendees are allowed.

Baltimore County parks will remain open Monday, May 31, while other services will not be available in observance of Memorial Day. Courts and county offices will be closed, and people do not need to pay parking meters.

Post offices will be closed as will libraries, the landfill and recycling drop-off centers. Trash and recycling will not be collected Memorial Day.

Residents should check their particular collection schedule to know when to set out materials. Collections may occur later than usual during the week following Memorial Day. If a collection does not occur on the scheduled day during this period of time, materials should be left out until collection occurs.

Drop-off facilities will be closed Monday for Memorial Day. They will reopen on Tuesday, June 1.

Baltimore County Public Schools and offices will be closed Monday. There will be no MARC Train service on Memorial Day. CountyRide will not be operating.
