“Ten years ago, in September of 2001, SCEDA and GSCCAP held a similar Transportation Summit aimed at moving this project forward,” Economic Development Association President John Huggins said in a statement.

“In the intervening years, despite heightened interest from South County residents, Prince George’s County officials, and area State legislators, efforts to include this project in the Maryland State Transportation Plan have thus far been unsuccessful.”
