Community College Named Military Friendly School

The school was awarded for making civilian life easy for active military personnel.

in Upper Marlboro has been named a military friendly school by G.I. Jobs, a magazine that documents military personnel transitioning into civilian life.

The list of military friendly schools honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veterans as students, according to community college information.

“It is always an honor to be recognized for our efforts to transform the lives of our students, and in this case, to be spotlighted for the many ways the college goes the extra mile to support military service members and veterans,” Charlene M. Dukes, president of Prince George’s Community College, said in a statement.
